Who we are
This website is run by 18V LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("18V," "we," "us"). This policy covers www.18vgroup.com and the intake form at /start. It does not cover work we do for clients, which is governed by each client's written agreement.
What we collect
What you give us. When you fill out our intake form, we collect your first and last name, email address, organization or brand name and the answers you choose to write. If you attach a file, such as a deck or one-sheet, we collect that too. If you email us, we receive whatever you put in the email.
What your browser sends. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page loads: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address when you visit.
What we skip. We do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels or third-party analytics on this site, and we do not set cookies to follow you around the internet.
How we use it
- To read your intake answers, decide whether we are a fit and reply to you
- To prepare for a first conversation and any proposal that follows
- To keep the site running, secure and free of spam and abuse
- To meet legal, tax and recordkeeping obligations
We will only send you marketing email if you ask for it or become a client, and every such email will let you opt out.
Where it lives
Intake submissions travel from this site to our Google Workspace account, where answers are saved to a private spreadsheet, attachments are filed in private Google Drive storage and a notification goes to our inbox. The site itself is hosted by Vercel. These companies process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:
- With the service providers named above, so they can run the tools we use
- With your permission, for example when you ask us to loop in a partner, agent or teammate
- When the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order
- With a buyer or successor if 18V is ever merged, acquired or reorganized, under terms that keep this policy's protections in place
How long we keep it
If we end up working together, your intake answers become part of the client file and are kept for the life of the engagement plus the time we need for legal and tax records. If we do not work together, we keep intake submissions for up to two years so we have context if you come back, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we have about you, correct it or delete it. Email team@18vgroup.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, you may have additional rights, and we will honor them. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Security
Submissions travel over encrypted HTTPS connections, and the accounts that store them are protected by sign-in controls that limit access to our team. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us passwords, financial account numbers or government ID numbers through the form.
Young people
This site is meant for adults and the organizations they represent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. When we work with student athletes or other minors, a parent or guardian is part of the conversation from the start. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
If we link to another website, that site's own privacy policy applies once you leave ours.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page before it takes effect.
